1.2 & 3.10 ~ Be Adventure Planning...

Though it might seem that I would be a big new years resolution type girl (being type A and all...) I'm not. But I do so love to make lists! So, instead of making a list of things I resolve to change or alter in my life I'd like to list new things I hope to experience during 2010. Since you'll be along for the ride (via this little blog) this is what I hope my/our year will include:
  1. Apple picking followed by applesauce making with the help of this lovely Christmas gift
  2. Ice skating at the National Art Gallery
  3. Seeing the Terracotta Warriors on display at the National Geographic Museum.
  4. Summer picnic with friends
  5. Going to a U Street DC Jazz show and Ben's Chili Bowl
  6. Making my first quilt, baby sized so as not not overwhelm myself (thanks for the kit, Mom!)
  7. Taking in the South on our trip to Tybee Island, Georgia.
  8. Going to the Chinese New Year parade in DC's Chinatown and/or having a Chinese New Year Party.
  9. Taking a special trip, yet to be finalized, this summer...so details are on the down low. :)
  10. Helping out with or going on a mission trip.
  11. Finally checking out DC's Eastern Market!
  12. Celebrating Summer and Winter Solstice (June & December 21, 2010), not sure how exactly, but something fun and simple.
Well, that's about 1 a month, so I'll stick that those adventures since I'm sure many others will pop up along the way. What are you hoping to enjoy in this new year? I'd love to hear your plans too, leave a comment and share your adventure hopes!

  2. I just have to say, Yipee about the applesauce. I've made applesauce all my life, and last year we used the peeler and it turned out chunkier and yummy! Dying to see your baby quilt! And, when will you be in Tybee Island? Maybe we could come over and meet you. I haven't explored that yet!
I like your list rather than resolutions. I think I need to think about that too. I'm not a big resolution maker either. Blessings and good things for 2010~
